Much Ado About Nothing kicks off a series of online screenings from Oddsocks
While their spring tour of The Comedy of Errors may have been cut short, our friends at Oddsocks are still serving up plenty of Shakespearean silliness online this month, with their hugely popular take on Much Ado About Nothing kicking off a series of YouTube screenings.
First toured during the glorious summer of 2015, Oddsocks‘ Much Ado About Nothing visited a total of 25 open-air and indoor venues across the UK, reaching more than 9,000 people. Over the coming weeks, the company aims to make a new production available every Friday evening, which will then remain live until the end of the lockdown.
Known for their madcap retellings of classic Shakespeare plays, Oddsocks‘ hilarious, family-friendly productions are ideal for Shakespeare newcomers and aficionados alike.
All of the shows will be free to watch, but donations to help support the company’s work are greatly appreciated, and can be made online via the Oddsocks website.
You can watch parts 1 and 2 of the performance below. Keep an eye on the Oddsocks YouTube channel for more great shows every Friday.
