Book a ticket for Emma Rice's mouthwatering new musical for a chance to win a workshop with Choc 'n' Roll
After co-producing Emma Rice‘s exuberant Wise Children last year, we’re very excited to be hosting her mouthwatering new musical Romantics Anonymous as part of its upcoming virtual tour, broadcast LIVE from Bristol Old Vic.
Each night of the tour, the show will be specially tailored to different regional audiences, with the Belgrade hosting on Wednesday 23 September (you can book your tickets here). Before starting rehearsals, the company have formed a bubble, enabling them to perform the show in full without the need for social distancing.
Based on the film Les Émotifs Anonymes, Romantics Anonymous follows the fragile love story that unfolds between Angélique – a timid but gifted chocolate-maker – and Jean-René, the anxious owner of a struggling chocolate factory. Every performance is filled with delicious new songs, spectacular theatrics and a total of 600g of melted chocolate!
To whet your appetite for the performance, we paid a visit to Choc ‘n’ Roll in Fargo Village, where Founder and Head Chocolate Maker Tony Davies showed us how he creates his irresistible chocolates, available to purchase from their shop from 11am-4pm Tuesday-Sunday – you can find out more on their website.
But it gets better! Choc ‘n’ Roll are also offering a free chocolate-making workshop to one lucky audience member – simply book a ticket for the show here then like and share this post on Facebook.
We’ll inform the winner at the end of September once the Romantics Anonymous tour is over – you’ll need to show us your booking confirmation in order to claim your prize. Please note that the workshop will take place on a Monday, while the Choc ‘n’ Roll shop is closed to the public.
Check out the video of our visit below for a taste of what to expect!
Directed and adapted for the stage by Emma Rice with original songs by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond, Romantics Anonymous is a delicious love story all about breaking the mould and finding the courage to be happy. Tickets for the Midlands performance on Wed 23 Sep are available to book now.
