Co-creation Symposium – Can we all just agree on what co-creation is?

Fri 26 Jul 2024

A day long symposium hosted by the Belgrade Theatre asking what does it mean to co-create.

We all know (don’t we?) that true co-creation is more than just collaboration. But what exactly is it? If it is an interdependency between a theatre and its community, how do we work to make that a reality?

This is a day to explore co-creation, agree on its core principles and endeavour to find out what it means when a co-created approach is working at its best.

To book your place please email: boxoffice@belgrade.co.uk

Schedule for the day

12noon-1:30pm
A series of break out rooms facilitated by our guest speakers to interrogate the following provocations:

  1. Where does co-creation start?
  2. What is the untapped potential of true co-creation and co-creating practice and how do we make it work?
  3. When is co-creation working at its best and when is it not useful?

Join us for lunch and an opportunity to network.

2pm-4:30pm
Our afternoon session will begin with a video case study from Alan Lyddiard (Artistic Director, The Performance Ensemble) followed by a panel discussion with guest speakers where we will have an opportunity to consider all we have learned so far.
