Work Experience Recruitment Evening

Thursday 19 September
Between 4.30pm and 6pm

The theatre offers one week placements to students aged 16 and over. Placements provide either an opportunity to engage with and observe a range of departments across the theatre or, for those with more developed career aspirations, an intensive period with one specific department.

To ensure equal access we recruit for placements through two Work Experience Open Evenings, which are held in September and February. The next event will take place on Thursday 19 September from 4.30 – 6pm.

The evening is a great opportunity to meet some of the Belgrade Theatre’s staff and to find out more about what’s on offer. You will also be able to apply for placements in the autumn/winter term.

For more information on work opportunities at the Belgrade Theatre, call our friendly box office team on 024 7655 3055.

Careers Day: Open Doors – Creative Choices

The Belgrade Theatre opens its doors once a year to offer young people of secondary school age the opportunity to come into the theatre and see for themselves the range of careers available in the performing arts industry. Opportunities include talking to arts professionals, participating in a workshop on a specific role and watching a live production rehearsal.

The next Open Doors event will take place on Friday 11 October. This is a free event but tickets must be booked through the Creative Choices website.

One Week Placements

The theatre offers one week placements to students aged 16 and above. Placements offer an opportunity to observe and participate in a range of departments at the theatre. Students must apply by CV and covering letter and will be invited to interview to asses suitability and available placement dates.
Please note all current work exprience placements have been taken up. We will run a recruitment evening for those interested in Work Experience at the beginning of 2013 after which further dates will be released. Further details will be posted on the website when available.

Graduate Placements

The theatre offers longer placements to students aged over 18. Placements are usually connected to a specific department and length to connect to the student’s course or to enable them to gain experience on graduation. Students must apply by CV and covering letter. Placements will then be agreed with the specific department and are dependent on the individual’s skills and the capacity of the department at the time requested.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities are available in the Community & Education Company (subject to CRB check), Communications and Front of House departments at the theatre. Opportunities available are advertised on the website at the beginning of each season.
