Launched in 2011, the Belgrade’s award-winning creative apprenticeship scheme was recognised in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list published in The Guardian and was awarded Creative Apprentice Employer of the Year by the National Skills Academy in March 2012.

Apprenticeships at the Belgrade Theatre offer a unique opportunity to gain a wide range of transferrable skills which can be used in later employment, as well as a greater understanding of the theatre industry. Belgrade Apprenticeships offer vocational training as an alternative route into the creative industries.

Andrew is currently completing an Apprenticeship in our Operations Department – this department is responsible for all the public spaces in the Theatre and making sure they are tidy, equipped and ready for the large audiences that walk through our doors everyday…a very important job!

“Since I have started here there has been so much support and a genuine interest in how I am progressing. There is never a dull day and I feel very lucky to be part of one of the most interesting, fun and diverse Apprenticeships around.”

To support our Apprenticeships, and help people like Andrew develop essential workplace skills, text OPEN18 £2 to 70077 to donate, or click here to donate.
