Find out about our new co-production called Empty

Posted on 3 January 2012

Empty is a new play by Jouvan Fouccini about the pursuit of fame, love and money that will be performed at the Orange Tree Theatre, Birmingham from 19 to 21 January.

In Broken Britain, a young Black DJ, Craig, doesn’t just want to survive, he wants to thrive but is he willing to pay the price? The high flying baller lifestyle he presents to his girlfriend Kayla and best friend Jaxon isn’t what it seems. Jaxon has never been dazzled by the city lights, never fallen victim to the hype but one day is forced to look at his life and ask “how did I get here?”

Empty is produced by Toyin Omari-Kinch in association with The Belgrade Theatre and will be directed by Steven Luckie.

The show is suitable for ages 15+ and tickets are just £7 (£5.00 concessions). To book call the Orange Tree Theatre Box Office on 0121 212 2643 or online at
