There's No Place Like Rome - Behind The Scenes of Horrible Histories

Posted on 22 May 2015

True or False…

Viking legend believed that the first man and woman came from the sweat of a giant’s armpit?

The Romans banned the eating of sausage?

In Ancient Athens, you could be executed for stealing a cabbage?

All will be revealed next week as we welcome back Birmingham Stage Company with their brand new double-bill of Horrible Histories – Groovy Greeks and Incredible Invaders from Tues 26 – Sat 30 May.

With less than a week until the arrival of Horrible Histories, we caught up with Ruthless Romans Rufus and Maximus in Derby for a ‘Horrible’ history lesson with a difference!

After a quick bit of pillaging backstage, there was just enough time for the not-so-dynamic duo to share some of their favourite facts about some of the many ‘incredible Invaders’ who have visited our shores over the last 1000 years from Vicious Vikings right through to Stormin’ Normans and more!

Check out our latest video to find out what our two lary legionnaires had to say for themselves…..
