The fabulous cast of The Quite Remarkable Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat are in the midst of rehearsals and they are looking fantastic! With such an energetic cast and a wonderful creative team, we cannot wait till this musical adaptation by Dougal Irvine Based on “The Quite Remarkable Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat” by Eric Idle hits the B2 stage.

The production is a lively one, with movement Director Cressida Carré working closely with the creatives and cast. This surreal and brilliantly chaotic new musical follows the Owl (Danny Lane) and the Pussycat (Sally Frith) on their mission to save the world and defeat the dastardly Firelord (Vedi Roy), his imaginary dragon, Pyron, and his henchmen, Flicker and Brimstone (Yanick Ghanty). With the help of Professor Bosh’s (Lizzie Wofford) and The Pie Rat’s (Miri Gellert), they seek the magical Bong Tree which will lead them all to safety in the Land of Bong.

Danny Lane (Owl) and Sally Frith (Pussycat) are the most unlikely of friends, but share wonderful stage chemistry. Their adventures take them across the Gromboolian Plains, down a river of jam, and over a frozen rainbow – helped on their way by a host of wonderful characters including a resurrected dinosaur skeleton (Lizzie Wofford), the Pie-Rats (Miri Gellert) and a dancing Pig (Lizzie Wofford) in sunglasses.

This fantastically imaginative new musical adaptation of Eric Idle’s best-selling book is a celebration of nonsense, and is sure to enthral and delight children aged 6+, their families and anyone with a sense of fun and wonder.
