Sneak peek at Pink Sari Revolution

Posted on 2 October 2017

Created by a unique collaboration of award-winning Indian and British Asian artists, Pink Sari Revolution tells the story Sheelu Nishad and Sampat Pal, the formidable and fearless leader of the Gulabi Gang, a movement of over 400,000 women fighting for their rights in a uniform of blazing pink saris.

With set design by Isla Shaw and lighting design by Tim Lutkin, this stunning production is visually striking. One winter’s day, Sampat learns of Sheelu Nishad, a young girl thrown into prison in the dead of night. As Sampat investigates, a chain of events is set in motion that reveals the real cost of making a stand.
