Photo Highlights from The Propaganda Swing Meet & Greet

Posted on 15 August 2014

This week, we bid a warm welcome to the cast and creative team of Propaganda Swing.

We welcomed back two familar faces: Clara Darcy, who last appeared at the Belgrade in May with Brassed Off and also starred in We Love You City back in 2012; and Chris Andrew Mellon who was last seen here in the Spanish Golden Age in March. We were also introduced to the rest of our actor-musician cast: Callum Coates; Miranda Wilford; Paul Lincoln; Tomm Coles and Jonny Bower.

The Belgrade also welcomed the writer, Peter Arnott and Musical Supervisor Hilary Brooks.

This brand new co-production with Nottingham Playhouse is directed by the Belgrade’s Artistic Director Hamish Glen, Propaganda Swing is a captivating combination of WWII intrigue and drama set against a backdrop of glitz, glamour and Big Band swagger.

After a chit-chat over a cup of tea and cake with the cast and creatives, the staff at the Belgrade were invited to sit in on the first read through of the script in the Patrick Suite!

Propaganda Swing opens at the Belgrade on Sat 13 Sept and will be here until Sat 27 Sept before it moves on to Nottingham Playhouse.
