Photos from The Belgrade Theatre Unplugged at Edgwick Play Centre

Posted on 14 June 2013

Despite the terrential downpours this afternoon, audiences turned out at Edgwick Play Centre in Foleshill to hear rehearsed readings in unusual and relaxed setting. The actors performed extracts of forthcoming Belgrade plays, including One Night in November, The Prodigals, Charlie Peace: His Amazing Life and Astounding Legend and The Alchemist, as part of the series of events called Belgrade Theatre Unplugged.

Our Community & Education Company also made an appearance to perform extracts of their past shows including, Close to Home, Priorities, Ministry of Meh and All the Moves.

There are two Belgrade Theatre Unplugged events left to go and fingers crossed the weather will stay dry for both of them. Draycote Water, which is free to attend, and The Charterhouse, which costs £2.50, will be next in line to host rehearsed readings tomorrow (Sat 15 June). Thankfully, there are contingency plans in place for an indoor performance so don’t let the weather put you off – it’s not too late to get involved!
