We have nearly reached our target!
On Monday, we visited Barclays Bank (Coventry) to fundraise towards our Making Memories campaign. Barclay’s customers and staff were rewarded for their donations with a festive mince pie and Barclays Bank generously matched donations received from 1 – 14 December (up to £1,000)
We are delighted to announce that with the support of Barclays, Directors’ Club members and Belgrade Theatre audience members we have raised £4,450 – just £550 short of our target.

Why is the campaign so important?
Well, for instance, take one of this years’ recipients, Lily.
Lily likes to do normal things like going to the park or going into town, but due to her mother’s health, this is not always possible. Lily lives alone with her terminally ill mother. She is a carer for her mother and takes a lot of responsibility for the home. Lily is just 10 years of age.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of young children in our region like Lily, who for one reason or another simply aren’t able to experience the joy, excitement and escapism that theatre can bring at this magical time of year.
