Meet the cast of The Alchemist
The cast of hilarious comedy, The Alchemist are currently in rehearsals until the show opens in the Belgrade’s B2 auditorium on Sat 1 Feb.
Leading the cast in the role of Face, is actor Andrew Harrison, who has appeared in numerous productions for Riding Lights Theatre Company including Three Men In A Boat, The Winter’s Tale, The Tree That Woke Up, John’s Gospel, Daniel and The Fire Raisers.
Also in the cast is Barrett Robertson who you may recognise from poetry in performance production Being Human which was staged at the Belgrade in 2012 and 2013. He also starred in Belgrade Unplugged which saw extracts of upcoming Belgrade productions performed as rehearsed readings which included an extract from The Alchemist.
The rest of the cast is made up of Zannah Hodson as Doll Common, who has performed in The Miser and An Ideal Husband for the Royal Exchange, Manchester; Tom Peters as Subtle, who has appeared in The Winter’s Tale for Riding Lights; Scottish actor and comedian Alan Francis as Drugger, Ananias and Lovewit; Sarah Jane-Lee as Pliant and Dapper, who also runs storytelling events for the RSC; John Holden-White as Katril who performed in Riding Lights’ productions of A Different Drum and The Narrow Road and Kolade Agboke as Mammon who has performed in a number of plays for the Royal National Theatre and Sheffield Crucible.

Directing the production is Paul Burbridge, Artistic Director of Riding Lights Theatre Company. The show has been designed by Sean Cavanagh who was also responsible for designing The Prodigals for the Belgrade last year. Lighting Design is by Mark Doubleday and Sound Design is by Jonathan Bidgood.
