Local young people make their first memories of Shakespeare

Posted on 22 June 2016

Last night we partnered with the Positive Youth Foundation to help local young people enjoy their first experience of Shakespeare, with a performance of Much Ado About Nothing. We were able to offer this opportunity through our Making Memories campaign thanks to the generosity of our donors and Oddsocks Productions.

It was really good and funny, I tried to hold in my laughter but ended up laughing outloud! The costumes really helped us to understand the roles.

Our Making Memories campaign runs throughout the year to provide people who are facing challenging circumstances with free tickets to suitable shows at the Belgrade – whether this is the pantomime, a schools show or Shakespeare production.

You can donate to Making Memories at www.localgiving.com/belgradetheatre and your support will help more children, young people and families to experience the joy, excitement and escapism of theatre.

The Belgrade Theatre Trust is a registered charity (number 219163). This means that all the money given, raised or earned is not distributed as profit but kept and reinvested in the work that we do. For more information please speak to a member of staff or visit www.belgrade.co.uk/support-us
