Dressed to Impress!
Our panto cast had their dress rehearsal yesterday, and our Page to Stage attendees were able to watch.
Our Page to Stage events were a great success this year, with trips to our costume and prop building workshops, a meet and greet with the cast, and the VIP night to come this Friday. All of the proceeds from Page to Stage support our Making Memories campaign – providing 500 tickets to the Belgrade pantomime for local families to enjoy a trip to the theatre that they simply cannot afford.
We need to raise £6,840 this Christmas, and so far we’ve raised an amazing £2,000, but there is still a long way to go. We’ve already received hundreds of applications from families facing terrible hardship. Here’s Martin’s story:
Martin and his family are due to be evicted from their home in early January – just two days before Martin’s mother is due to give birth. Martin’s attendance in school has been affected and he suffers from emotional problems, which has resulted in counselling. Severe financial hardship is making life very difficult for the whole family. Martin is just 7 years old and has never been to see a pantomime.
If you would like to take a peek behind the curtains to see how the magic is made for next year’s pantomime, Cinderella, and support Making Memories 2017, then why not book one of the limited tickets now.
We’re incredibly proud of the work that we do; however, none of this would be possible without the support of our audiences, funders, donors and Members. So thank you.
