Building The Set for Red Snapper

Posted on 22 February 2016

We’ve been for a nose around our workshop in Red Lane where work is currently underway on the set build for our new play, Red Snapper.

The set – designed by Janet Vaughn – takes its inspiration from a coastal fishing village in Jamaica during its year of independence, 1962 and comes equipped with its very own harbour and port side.

We can’t wait for Tech Week to see the finished result….

With an all-female cast, including BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee Cathy Tyson, playing a collection of vibrant characters, and dialogue loaded with humour and pathos, Red Snapper is the stunning debut play by Liz Mytton. It will also be the first full production to come from the Belgrade Theatre’s acclaimed playwriting project, Critical Mass.

Red Snapper premieres in B2 from Sat 5 – Sat 19 Mar. For tickets, call the Belgrade Theatre Box Office on 024 7655 3055 or visit www.belgrade.co.uk where tickets are cheaper.
