During the summer holidays the Belgrade will once again be running a week-long Summer School for ages 11 – 16. Over five fun-filled days, participants will meet new friends, learn new skills and burn off some energy with our fun and practical theatre workshops.
This year the theme of our Summer School is Hidden Histories.
You think you know who invented the light bulb.. discovered penicillin… powered the first plane..? Think again! Over five days participants will learn about famous inventions claimed by other people and use these stories to create their own piece of theatre to perform in front of family and friends.
Summer School is led by experienced practitioners in the Belgrade’s safe and professional theatre. No previous acting experience is necessary to take part.
For more details, including what to bring with you, please see the Extra Information tab.

No specialist clothing or equipment is needed but we ask that participants wear something comfortable and sensible shoes/trainer, with no dangly jewellery. We recommend that valuables are not brought into the Theatre.
Participants are asked to bring a drink with them (water is best) as Summer School can sometimes get quite active!
Lunch is not provided, so please bring a packed lunch with you or some money to get something from our Café. There will be a designated lunch area for participants to use, which will be supervised at all times.
We like to be able to send you an email before Summer School begins, with all of the useful information you need to know. Therefore, please make sure you provide us with a relevant email address when you book.
